Prefer hardware-backed auth where possible

Hardware security keys (U2F/WebAuthn) provide the strongest protection against phishing. Register a key and keep it somewhere secure. Unlike codes, a hardware key performs a cryptographic check bound to the actual domain, meaning phishing pages can’t easily impersonate the real site.

Bookmark and verify

Create a bookmark for the KuCoin login and use it every time. Bookmarking prevents accidental typos and reduces the risk of landing on a spoofed domain. Combine this habit with checking the browser padlock and certificate details as an extra verification step.

Codes and code-handling

Never enter one-time codes that were shared in chat or email by another person. Legitimate support will not ask for your authentication codes. Store backup codes offline; if you must digitize them, use encrypted local storage or a secure hardware device, not cloud notes.

Report suspicious communication

If you receive a message that seems to be from KuCoin but feels off—typos, strange sender addresses, or urgent pressure—save the message and report it through your official support route. Do not reply or click any links in the message.
